We had Jasmin & Matt photograph our destination wedding in March 2019. Leading up to the wedding they were quick to rely to emails and answer any questions. During the planning process they kept in touch and even met over Skype to introduce themselves. They had shot a wedding at our venue before so were even helpful with discussing options for the ceremony and helped ease our worries about not seeing the venue until we arrived.

They were such an amazing couple to work with on the day of the wedding. Their calm and organized approach helped us to feel relaxed and stress free (much needed on the wedding day!). As soon as we bonded over being Canadians and craft beer, we knew that having you both photograph our wedding was a no brainer. Secondly, the communication with you guys was so easy and laid back. Way before we got engaged, Justin my husband always knew that he would have to leave the photographer for our wedding up to me.

From seeing what the resort that we were getting married at had to offer for photographers, let’s just say that I wasn’t impressed and that the prices were a joke. The resorts will push you to what they want you to do, but sometimes you need to stand your ground and go with your gut.

Just a few weeks out from our wedding, we were in a quick search for a photographer. After many Google searches, I came across Jasmin’s and Matt’s website, I instantly knew that fate led me to them. I read their “about us” section and their message about marriage really hit close to home for both Justin and myself. In reading their reviews from other couples, there was no doubt that I had to message them instantly and book.

Within a few short hours, we had a response back from Jasmin! After exchanging emails back and forth for a few weeks and getting details ironed out. We had our photographers for our and wedding and still on edge with a few other things. Jasmin and Matt were nothing short of amazing with dealing with a few hiccups from the Resort and made sure that we were doing okay with everything.

Right before we left, we got the chance to video chat with them and in that moment I got super excited about having them be apart of our special day and the events leading up to them. They got the chance to meet our fur children and we got to meet their cats!

Upon arriving in Mexico and getting settled in, we had a chance to do a “meet and greet” in Playa del Carmen at a local hot spot. We really got to know Jasmin and Matt on a personal level and made everything so enjoyable and stress free.

We had the pleasure to have Jasmin and Matt stay as our guest at the resort we were getting married at, they also came on our main excursion with guests. It was amazing seeing them interact with our guests, but also really getting the moments we wanted captured. They also captured our big welcome party for our guests, these two know how to party and will make sure to show you a good time.

When it came to our big day, Jasmin and Matt made sure that everything seem easy, even with a few things that happened along with the resort. They were in constant communication with each other and had everything planned perfectly. I’ll never forget a photo from our guest of Matt sprawled out on the aisle, truly a man serious about his work. With our sunset time line quickly fading, all four of us were in a mad dash down the beach to make sure we got the perfect sunset shot. I only run for the following: food, scary animals chasing me, and the perfect photograph.

I could write a novel of why you should enlist Jasmin and Matt to be your wedding photographers. They are one of kind people that are just filled with a lot of love and patience in their hearts. Their work speaks for itself a million times over and it shows. But most of all, they listen to what your needs are and what you want on your day. My husband and I told them that if they ever visit Washington DC, or any place where we live, they are always welcome in our home. Not only will you have a great photographers, but more than likely they will get sucked up into you pack like the rest of the people in your life.

We can never thank you both, for being amazing during our final stretch of wedding planning. You have officially been scooped up in to our ever expanding pack of misfits.

Wow, where do I begin?! We got married on the sky deck at Azul Sensatori on January 21st, 2017 and Jasmin and Matt were absolutely phenomenal! We’ve seen many of our photos as they share teasers along the editing process which is amazing too. I just really can’t say enough good things about them. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, incredibly creative and fun to be around! They made everyone feel comfortable and were a wonderful addition to our wedding group! We feel so lucky to have had them capture the memories of the best day ever. They made it even more special. I was an hour behind schedule and they dealt with that with ease, I also totally forgot to provide the room number the guys were in and they figured that out too.

To make a long story short, the resort is what makes using an outside photographer difficult, but Jasmin and Matt were totally understanding about all of that as well, I say without a single doubt that going with Jasmin and Matt no matter what resort you are getting married or what the circumstances is the best decision you can make on the most special day of your lives! Don’t let the resorts bully you into using their people. It’s too important to leave to chance. Go with your gut and we couldn’t be more pleased we went with ours and chose Jasmin and Matt! Thank you guys so much for making our special day even more special! You guys rock!

We got married in January 2017 and were (and are) so pleased with the photos from Jasmin and Matt. The photos are amazing. They captured lots of candid moments and also gave us the direction and pointers we needed. I am so happy with the pictures. I am impressed with how many photos we got in our package, and they are so crisp, well lit, and beautiful. I also have to say that the price is right for two professionals, and that’s before I saw just how many beautiful shots we would get!

Our google search for a destination wedding photographer ended quite quickly after stumbling upon Jasmin & Matt’s website. We loved their style of photography and decided to book them. Their contact with us right from the start was very efficient, thorough, and made planning a destination wedding much less stressful. They were the ONLY thing we weren’t doubtful about in regards to a destination wedding.

Come wedding day, they arrived as scheduled and began shooting. Jasmin & Matt are very very organized and, once again, efficient (but yet flexible for last minute timeline tweeks – which we had a few). They remembered everything we wanted to get captured on camera and easily had the time to do so, as well as the several beautiful candid moments. When it came down to the newly wed photos (which my husband and I are pretty awkward models) Jasmin & Matt directed us and were patient with us. In return, we have the most amazing newly wed photos I could have ever imagined.

These two are very friendly and professional and definitely a joy to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer and am patiently waiting for a reason to hang out with them for the day while they capture more of our special moments!

Jasmin and Matt are our photography heroes! Having them (thankfully) agree to be such a big part of our wedding day was not only one of the easiest decisions we made during the planning process, but it proved to be one of things we talk most about! The fact that they took a break from the heat in Mexico to join in our celebration and shoot a fall time Manitoba wedding was so appreciated! The beautiful memories they helped us create speak to their abilities behind the camera and their incredible people skills. Ryan and I are very camera shy, and that’s putting it lightly, but Jasmin and Matt made us feel so at ease while we got ready to walk down the aisle, all from me primping during the day to the boys hamming it up in their tuxedos, and their attention lasted all the way through to the last dance! Their keen attention to detail- adjusting a necklace here, straightening a tie there- and willingness to try some new things while having spot on suggestions to create our magical storybook of images, Jasmin and Matt couldn’t go wrong.

Thank you again for being so responsive to the neurotic bride’s emails, keeping the mood light and fun throughout the day and creating a beautiful story with us that we’ll cherish forever. We can’t wait to share your name with future brides and grooms (it’s kind of the first thing we ask when we find out people are getting married…do you have a photographer yet?!) and hopefully getting the chance to work with you for an upcoming anniversary…maybe this time we’ll come to you in Mexico!

If we could go back in time, we would absolutely choose to have Jasmin and Matt as our wedding photographers again. Without hesitation. They are talented, fun and kind-hearted people.

Generally, when you think about wedding photography, you expect the impact to be post-wedding, when your photos serve as memories of your special day. Jasmin and Matt definitely had that impact – our pictures are wonderful! But, it goes beyond that. They had a huge impact on the wedding day itself. They were so easy to talk to and made us laugh so much that the stress of the day just disappeared. They were so organized, which made us feel like we could take a step back and just enjoy the day. They also fit in so well with our family and friends that everyone was begging them to stay once they were off the clock.

Leading up to the wedding, we were impressed. We were admittedly a bit stressed out because the photographer that we were going to bring down from back home had to back out due to the Zika virus. We felt like we had minimal time to find someone else, and availability and pricing were so difficult that close to the wedding. Jasmin and Matt were very accommodating. They were extremely responsive, which helped us get everything sorted out quickly. They also put together a special price for Canadian guests to assist us with the poor Canadian dollar at the time. Their customer service was bar none in our opinion.

We went to Mexico in November 2016 and decided to get photos done with Jasmin and Matt. When we finally met and did the photo session, Jasmin and Matt were amazing. They know what there doing, they know what photos to take and are open to specific ones if you have ideas. They are super friendly and are a great couple to hang around with. There was an issue that arose while our photo session was taking place and Matt handled it very well, they were able to fix the problem fast and still get my husband and I our great photos. I would definitely use them again, and will be recommending them to anyone who wants photos done in the Mexico area.

I could not be more thrilled with my experience with Jasmin & Matt who captured our simple, intimate vow renewal in Playa del Carmen for my husband and me and our best friends as we each celebrated our anniversaries. The moment I started receiving emails from them, I knew I found the right people to work with! To be completely candid, I actually know Matt and Jasmin so I knew that they were going to be great. We were married in Runaway Bay, Jamaica this past June. My favorite pictures are their candid photos that capture all of the emotions of the day. After doing a ton of research, we hired Jasmin and Matt to photograph our wedding on May 17th in Mexico. They were professional and prompt with their emails and communication, and answered every single question we had. They worked very well together, never missing a beat. Their personalities were fun and lakes back, making it easier to do those intimate photos in front of the camera. They were also very understanding and accommodating when we had issues with the resort, making the photography one less worry for us on our special day! Both Jasmin and Matt blew us away with how well they work together, there ideas for photos, how easy they are to be around, quick responses in emails and the photos we have received so far are amazing!! If you are looking for not only amazing photographers, but awesome people too, you need not look any further. As soon we saw they were from Winnipeg (our home) we knew were in luck. From the first email I sent to Jasmin and Matt I knew they were going to be great. In our emails they really took the time to get to know who Evan and I were. They have a way of making the whole destination wedding process a breeze. Any question and concern we had was answered within a few hours, even if it didn’t have to do with the photography part of things. They treated us like we were their only client when in fact they had three other weddings the same week as ours. They even set up a Skype date with us to get to know each other before our wedding day which we thought was very cool of them. We booked Jasmin and Matt for the 10 hour session. They were with us for the whole wedding day, capturing every moment, they are absolutely incredible wedding photographers and it felt like they fit right in with our wedding. We had our reception on a catamaran and it was insane. Despite the bumpy ride out on the water, Jasmin and Matt were still game on taking pictures like they were standing still. We’ve only seen a handful of photos so far, but they have all been more beautiful then we could have ever imagined. The day of the wedding, they did not disappoint and even went above and beyond. In the hours leading up to my ceremony, my bridesmaid’s flowers were missing in action. They were so helpful in trying to track them down and when we were unable to, they even helped pick and arrange flowers from the hotel’s garden. Throughout the day my wedding guests commented on how amazing Jasmin & Matt were. They were calm, efficient, and very interactive with our guests. We were so excited to see all the teasers that they posted on social media and now could not be happier with the finished product. Their talent is undeniable and they captured our day perfectly. We wanted photos that not only documented our day but also captured the essence of the people that were able to attend and they delivered that in spades. Photos were arguably one of the most important items to us because they are one of the only tangible items that last past the wedding day. For those of you that love to skim read, I will start this review by getting straight to the facts. Here are the top 3 reasons you NEED Jasmin and Matt as your destination photographers:

1. They are extraordinarily prompt – for someone like me that sits and watches the computer in anticipation of a reply, this was a major win {not to mention much easier on the eyes}. I was never more than an afternoon without a response {and believe me, I asked a lot of questions}.

2. They are tremendously organized – from the first point of contact to the actual shot you will appreciate their organization. Jasmin has the memory of an elephant {this is a good thing… and astounding in my world}. She remembered practically every photo example I shared with them on Pinterest and through email. This was important to me since I had a lot of subtle details that had tremendous meaning.

3. They are wonderfully fun – I don’t know about you, but this one matters to me a lot. There is nothing worse than an awkward photo shoot with someone mundane and rigid. Both Jasmin and Matt are quite the contrary. They are fun, lovable, free spirited and incredibly creative. Our time with them felt like time spent with friends {I was genuinely sad when our time ran out}.

Now for a more elaborate review… I’m not sure where to begin expressing my gratitude and satisfaction with Jasmin and Matt. I had originally booked with the hotel photographer for our wedding photos. I found myself obsessing over their website and trying to convince myself that the photos ‘weren’t that bad’… let alone trying to convince myself they were good. I was deterred from searching outside the resort for a photographer due to an extensive vendor fee ($800 USD!). I finally had enough and decided to listen to my gut. I searched the web for Cancun Wedding Photographers and every other possible variation of the phrase. I took my time to review all the websites and decided on a top three. I then emailed each of my top three choices and was beyond ecstatic when I got an email response almost right away from Jasmin and Matt. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the $800 USD vendor fee I struggled with would be worth it. Not only did Jasmine and Matt offer more for less (for example, two shooters, extended hours, and a creative session with the bride and groom) they were forthcoming and easy to communicate with. I very much appreciated this. Jasmine took the time to write extensive emails back and forth. She reassured me that it was common for resorts to charge the vendor fee and that although unfortunate it would be worth it. I put my faith in her. In hind sight, I’m sure glad I did. The second I cancelled the resort photographer and put down a deposit with Jasmin and Matt, I felt relief. I stopped obsessing over the resort website that displayed sub-par photos and began to get uber excited about what I saw on their website. My imagination started to run wild and I began to share example photos with them. Not once did they make me feel like I was being intrusive or overbearing. They embraced my ideas, encouraged creativity, and made me feel comfortable with the whole experience. I’m sure you’ve got the impression by now, but if you haven’t, photos mean a great deal to me. If someone told me there is only one thing I could have on my wedding day, I would choose a great photographer {assuming the wedding would already include my husband, of course lol}.

On our wedding day Jasmine and Matt were on time and began shooting immediately. Together we created a schedule beforehand and they diligently kept to it. The couple’s creative session was amazing {this occurred once we were done with bridal party photos}. I was thrilled with their ideas and direction. My husband is not one to love taking photos and somehow Jasmine and Matt made the whole experience enjoyable. We had a lot of laughs and fun during the shoot.

Dinner ran late which delayed the first dance, as well as the garter and bouquet tosses. Without missing a beat Matt offered to stay {for a charge} in order to capture these moments. I was so grateful for his offer and the fact they were willing to work after hours in order to capture all of our special moments. The extra time lead to some highly hilarious photos {drunken bridesmaids photos anyone?}; the idea came from Matt which had me giddy with excitement {this is SO my style of pictures}. I was beyond impressed with their creativity and ability to work alongside one another; their communication with one another is admirable.
We also scheduled a trash the dress session at the Cenote Azul. I have one word: WOW. The location was breathtaking. There was a serene peacefulness that set the mood. My husband and I agreed that this was one of our favorite days on the trip. It felt like a private excursion without the hustle and bustle. I cannot wait to see the pictures from this session. We got to catch a glimpse of a few shots from the cameras display and I was a thirteen year old girl squealing with delight on the inside.

I will, without a doubt, use Jasmin and Matt again for photography services. Saying I highly recommend them is an understatement. They are fantastic people, reasonably priced, and provide outstanding quality. You will not be disappointed {unless you don’t book with them – then you will be}.

Jasmin and Matt, we’ve only seen some sneak peeks so far, but they have all been beyond!! Some of our family and friends have commented that if they weren’t there, the pictures look so good that they wouldn’t have thought they were real!

We were so happy with our decision have Jasmin and Matt photograph our intimate and VERY informal catamaran wedding. We knew we made the right choice after meeting for coffee a few days before the ceremony, it felt like we had been friends for ages! My husband and I wanted to skip most of the wedding traditions and just throw a fun boat party with a wedding in the middle. We were worried that there may not be enough to photograph being that we had no wedding party, flowers, first dance etc. We wanted them to photograph the day as it happened with just a few set up family and group photos. Jasmin and Matt captured our day perfectly! Their photojournalistic style was exactly what I wanted, they were able to capture all of our friends and family in the moment enjoying the day. They even dealt wonderfully when the crew of the boat awkwardly hung our (joke) cardboard cut-out of our dog on the mast right behind us during the ceremony. I was so worried that all of our ceremony pics would be awkward, but they were able to get shots where he wasn’t visible. Jasmin and Matt really captured the day exactly as it was, showing all the emotion, excitement and fun all in attendance were having! If you are considering them look no further!

Jasmin and Matt are not only the most amazing photographers we have ever met but, they are both two amazing people, inside and out!!! As my husband and I began to plan our very first vacation together after 15 years, we just wanted to experience being in love with just the two of us. A getaway you might say from routine and daily life of work and raising kids. This would be a chance to rekindle our friendship and love for one another. We started by planning what to us was an unbelievable trip to Mexico staying in an adult only resort, Playa del Carmen that went above and beyond our expectations! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were very impressed with the staff, cleanliness and food at the resort. But, what is an amazing vacation without photos to remember it! So what began as a simple google of photographers in the area, ended with the most amazing pictures we have ever taken. From the very first email that I sent, Jasmin and Matt went above and beyond to accommodate not only our dates but our ideas. Their pure talent for photographing and beauty was breathtaking. To top it all off our night didn’t stop there, but after our photo session they took time out of their busy lives to spend some quality time with us and show us a little bit of Mexico that we otherwise would not have experienced. From the most amazing Pizza we have eaten to the neatest little romantic pub. I would not only recommend these two to photograph any event you might be planning I would insist on it! As I now have several of our favorite photos proudly displayed above our bed to remind us of just how incredible our time together is. Jasmin & Matt documented our big day in paradise this past June and we are very pleased we chose them as our wedding photographers. They made us feel at ease and we got some great shots that we’ll treasure forever.

We found Jasmin and Matt through looking on trip advisor after reading that the photographer in the hotel was ok . We didn’t want someone ok we wanted the best and after reading many reviews on this couple we decided to go ahead with booking them . Such a friendly couple !!! They answered our emails straight away and left no stone unturned , putting our mind at rest and leaving us feeling excited. We spoke to them on Skype something we’ve never done before (they even helped us set this up ). On the day they turned up early as promised and every single minute detail was scrutinized . Whether my jewellery was facing the right way , if there were plugs on show in the hotel , everything had to be perfect. The photographs we have seen are amazing , we had so much fun and these guys contributed towards that . It was a surprise for my husband and I am 100% happy with my decision to go with you guys! Thank you Jasmin and Matt, you really are amazing at what you do! After searching online for a while we came across Jasmin & Matt, checked out some of their work and decided to contact them about photographing our wedding. They got back to us right away and worked with us to help figure out just how much time we need to capture everything that was important to us. Communication is definitely a strong point for them, Jasmin responded to all our questions and emails usually within an hour. Leading up to the wedding they were so organized, keeping in touch with us via email and setting up a skype date to meet face to face. (I think they were actually way more organized than we were which was nice since ‘to do’ lists added up quickly as the day approached) On the day they arrived early and ready to go! The ceremony and family pictures ran so smoothly, as well as the wedding party pictures. They made it so much fun for us all and everything felt very natural. The reception photos from toasts, cake cutting, first dance, bouquet toss, garter removal and a few sneaky kisses were all beautiful!! We decided to go with the photo booth option (if you are even mildly interested in the photo booth just DO IT! The pictures turned out AMAZING! Plus it’s a great way to get all your guests involved) and we couldn’t be happier with this option, trust us you want to get the photo booth! Plus they have some awesome props to dress up in! Overall we are so happy with the photos, they are beautiful memories we can cherish for years to come. Jasmin and Matt truly are professionals, yet easy going and fun to work with, they interacted well with our guests and most importantly take amazing pictures! We recommend to anyone looking for a great photographer to go with them, you won’t regret it!

Chad and I found Jasmin and Matt by fluke online. From the very beginning of our communication with them, they were incredibly responsive and very accommodating with all of our questions and concerns. Not only did they provide us with stunning photos of our wedding that we just cant get enough of, they made the entire process exceptionally smooth and enjoyable. We were quite nervous when booking photographers for a destination wedding but once we met Jasmin & Matt on Skype, all worries we had seemed to disappear.
