2014 is a year of change and growth for the two of us and part of that is starting to be more healthy in the physical activities we’re a part of and the food we eat. Jasmin & I have been spending a lot of time at the gym, most days we end up at the downtown YMCA both on our lunch breaks, and again after work. We are both feeling great and this is just the beginning. In addition to the gym we are eating better, trying out new recipes and really enjoying our time in the kitchen. We’ve started having so much fun that we wanted to share in the good times so we started a blog with photos and the recipes we’re trying out.

Happy New Year! Bring on 2014

And here it is! Another year gone by, another bright and beautiful year ahead of us! Here’s hoping everyone had a lovely time celebrating the Holidays with an assortment of loved ones, enjoying copious amounts of food, drink, smiles and laughter. Cheers to bringing 2013 to a close, and with gusto we welcome 2014. There may be a bit of a Polar Vortex at our heels in many regions of North America, but let’s take this unexpected colder weather and allow it to fuel our excitement towards sunnier skies and greener pastures.  It is also important to note that, despite the frigid temperatures out there, the planning stages of many engagements and weddings still moves forward.

Realistically speaking, we have half a year in Canada to look forward to, and more importantly, half a year in Mexico to anticipate. As always, we are still booking engagements and weddings throughout the entire year, Montreal currently until June, and Mayan Riviera from July onward.

And on that note, here’s to a wonderful and exhilarating 2014, with many new adventures, challenges, hurdles and successes in our future!

2013 Coming to a Close

In what feels like the blink of an eye, it is suddenly December. The snow has fallen on Montreal, and this time, it’s not just a light dusting that will melt away, it is here to stay. Which also means the Holidays are upon us, and some quality time spent with loved ones, be it friends, family, pets, you name it, now is the time to hold those you love that much closer, and really appreciate having spent another year together, no matter the distance.

Speaking of December visits, we will be making the mini trek to visit Kara and Vince Hill in their lovely home in Gatineau, Quebec. The drive will be a relaxing way to spend our Saturday morning, considering the fact that we will be engaging in some major birthday celebrations Friday December 6th for Matt’s birthday. Plus, escapes from city life are always appreciated and welcome. We look forward to photographing the married couple, celebrating their upcoming anniversary in January. It should be a weekend of good food, wine, and company!

December also brought with it a post from blogger Bijou Bride, covering the lovely Moon and Andrew wedding of August 31st, 2013. We were ecstatic when Alexandra contacted us to feature the wedding on her blog back in November, and are that much more excited to see it posted earlier this week, which happens to coincide with the 3 month celebration of Moon and Andrew’s marriage.

Catching up with Kara & Vince

Some exciting news to brighten an otherwise cold and wet November Friday.  The wonderful Kara & Vince have asked us to come visit them at their home in Gatineau, Quebec for an anniversary celebration, complete with a follow up photo session, this time including their gorgeous Shiba Inu, Charlie. Details have yet to be confirmed, in terms of exact dates for the visit, but it will be wonderful to be on the road, even if only for a few hours, especially knowing there’s incredible hospitality that awaits us.  Stay tuned for photos in the upcoming months, pending weather and driving conditions.

Great news everyone!

If you haven’t already seen the front page of our newly designed website then here is the big surprise. As of the Summer of 2014 we will be packing up our lives and moving down to Playa del Carmen Mexico. We will be doing destination weddings in the Mayan Riviera so if you are planning a destination wedding next year please contact us

We are still booking weddings for the fall/winter of 2013 here in Montreal as well as the spring/early summer of 2014 so please don’t hesitate to contact us about your Quebec wedding.

We are both extremely excited for this big change in our lives & we will be keeping everyone posted on news in regards to the move so keep checking back.

Quick Update – Edits

So far, the week has been progressing wonderfully. We spent many hours going through all the photos from Christine & Jean-Seb’s wedding, and they are looking spectacular!  We eagerly anticipate posting a few teasers in the upcoming days. And we are working hard to have the entirety of the set edited and ready for viewing, by mid-September. On the heels of that set will be the wedding we are shooting this upcoming weekend!

On that note, we are thrilled to announce that tomorrow, Saturday August 31st, we will be spending the day with Moon Guan Yue Ting and Andrew Pang Chun Wai. We will be photographing the ceremony in the gorgeous St-James United Church in downtown Montreal, followed by a shoot in the beautiful Old Port of Montreal. The evening will wrap nicely with a reception, including traditional tea ceremony, in Chinatown.
